Students can enjoy the beautiful new gardens at the University of Pretoria’s New Residences at Onderstepoort. Walkways connect the lecture hall facilities with the residences and create nodes for get-togethers and relaxation. Grass mounds allow for lounging outdoors and students can kick ball on open lawn areas during study breaks.
Many trees have been planted to encourage habitat creation for fauna and provide shade during the hot summer months.
Large existing trees have been retained and give the project a sense of maturity.
Phase 2 of the project was completed at the end of 2014.
